Although a lot of checks and balances have been put into place to make online banking secure, it is still more susceptible to frauds than accounts held in the traditional mode. One needs to exercise due caution, frequently change the PIN, ask for alerts when amounts are debited, let the account which you use for internet banking be a sub-set of another account and let it have limited funds, so that you can limit the damage in case of fraud.
