Google's Payment Gateway

Have anyone used the payment gateway of Google? What are the good things in using Google Checkout?

Google products and services are one of the best in the internet, that's just for me. How about their payment gateway, is safe to use them? Or do you think Google is just for search engine and they must focus on it rather than venturing on other internet services?

I have used google payement gateway once. It was something I ordered and they gave a better deal if you paid through google. It worked just fine.
