Default Investigate before you pay
You can check out any opportunity before you spend money. Visit the Better Business Bureau website to see if there are any complaints against that company. Do the same thing with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). You can also check with the Chamber of Commerce in the city where that business is located. Or in a city where they operate.

This is a great idea! We all know that the Better Business Bureau is a very trustworthy. At least there is an option there for us to use.

It would be good to check with the Chamber also. The only problem with online sites you really don't know where their home base is.

You can just use Google. Google business name + scam and you might see some information about it. But that's just for your initial research. Some marketers use the keyword spam for article writing purposes.
