I would say a debit card would suffice for younger kids in case of emergency.

For me as a wise man i will not give them credit card cause sometimes we can't control them on spending and spending using credit card.

How old is your child?
Is not good idea to give your child credit cards.
They don't know yet how to use it in a proper way. Child like shopping, spending more money without thinking.

For me, it's a big NO.. it's not advisable to give them credit card. They are not yet matured of how to use credit card.
