Default Paypal vs Merchant account
Greetings all

I'm trying to find a way to process credit cards on my website and I'm even more confused now than when I started.

I know Paypal processes credit cards and is is mostly free, are there any big drawbacks to using them instead of opening a merchant account?

Help!

yes pay pal has high fees associated with accepting credit cards. A professional processor set you up with a shopping cart and gateway on your website and generally will have way less fees. Also it depends on the country you are in.

The associated fees with paypal account are quite high and people with less money don't prefer paypal and as you know there are not much high class community out there so you should focus the middle class community and choose the most economical way of transaction which has reasonable processing fees.

The Cheapest would have to be Paypal hands down nonetheless the physical world is still dependent on merchant accounts.
