Tax avoidance is the legal way of reducing tax due within the law while tax evasion is the efforts of not paying taxes by illegal means.

Tax avoidance would vary from country to country depending on their tax laws. For example, in some countries it is better to set up as a limited company instead of a partnership because of the tax each attract.

Tax avoidance and tax evasion are two different terms. tax avoidance means to avoid the occurrence of tax whereas tax evasion is illegal it means not to pay the tax which one is liable to pay.
