I agree with you. That is certainly a lot of money. And it certainly feels unfair, doesn't it? Unfortunately, banks (as well as credit card companies) are quite happy for you to go into overdraft as they can make more money that way. Even though banks are making healthy profits, they don't seem to be willing to share that profit with their customers in the form of reduced fees. Instead, the profits get spend on bonuses and luxurious offices and staff quarters. Great job if you can get it!

They are a lot cheaper than they used to be that's for sure! I remember paying upto ?30 per day i was even a penny over my overdraft to a max of ?150 per month! And i would reach this limit on many occasions i can say!! But ?3000 for the year just in fee's, WOW
