Default disability question on taxes
my mother is disabled and she doesnt have to file because she doesnt make enough ,, can i claim her on my taxes and write off equipment and other that i help her out with?

You may get tax benefits for disabled taxpayers but it is best to hire an experienced tax consultant as this maybe complicated for you. You can refer from this site http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/...204070,00.html about the disability privileges.

Yes, disabled taxpayers should have their privileges. Go to the relevant Inland Revenue inquiry, it should be resolved.

Every country has different taxation laws. However, "if she only makes $3,000 or less a yr" only then you can claim. IF she gets some disability compensation from SSDI then this compensation would not be counted as a taxable income.
