When you use your card at an ATM enter your pin in such a way that no one can easily memorize your keystrokes

Carry your credit card separately from your wallet

Default prevention
The best preventive measure is to stay as close to the ATM machine as possible when slotting in your card. I mean let the space between you and other people standing there should not be wide.

Some other tips can be:
1. Take the slip with you.
2. Remember the Pin.
3. Hide pin while putting it in the machine.
4. Shop carefully when using CC.
5. Protect your card and always keep it in different pocket.

People usually are pretty reasonable where I live and stay further away when there's a waiting line near an ATM. I also tend to just keep 2-3 meters away from the person currently withdrawing cash from the machine. I think it's nice that people do this.

Default I am shopping for a new bank for my checking, savings and mortage.
Well i do like to know whether is their any banks so you can better make a decision with things like savings interest rates, some key policies, size of bank, number of atms, checking options etc.

I got the answer from Financial Culture that Once in a while Consumer Reports compares the large banks, but many times regional and local banks are better. I usually just visit banks that are convenient to my work or home, and talk to them.

My criteria for checking and savings are:
no fees
interest paid on checking and savings
highest possible interest
no monthly charges
have ATMs
no ATM charges
no hold on deposited items

What i thinking is any way for mortgages are:
lowest possible interest rate (v important)
low closing costs
don't escrow for taxes and insurance
low fixed 30 year interest rate
a local bank that says that they won't sell the loan (this is less important)

This is the best way to stay as close to the ATM machine as possible when slotting in your card. You should avoid to show your pin from others. It should be remained personal always.
