Paypal could be one of the best for now but I am still trying to use some services aside from paypal. Recently I used Xoom to compare the service but not satisfied.

I think Paypal is the best source for small or medium sized businesses, particularly online ones. I use paypal for out of state clients purchasing home inspections from me. They like it because they know Paypal and have likely used them before. Goes a long way in the trust category.

Default Large business should work with large companies
I would say that you should look at the companies that are focused in taking care of bigger transactions. They provide payment solutions at better prices because of the higher amount. The rates are so much batter then the usual suspects like - 2co, paypal, google checkout etc.

Own merchant account is must be if it comes to your business payments but only if you have a large company cos at the beginning you can easy use the Pay Pal or other payment accounts. Its is also good to have more than one account cos it give you more flexibility and your company looks better in the eyes of your clients.
