Smile Credit Cards vs Prepaid Debit Cards
Credit cards are not always the best financial solution. The difference between a credit card and a debit card is becoming less defined in the modern banking world. These days you can take out a loan on your debit card or use your credit card as a bank card by paying your limits off immediately. So really the difference is in how you are going to be charged. Some debit card and bank accounts offer interest rates that are lower than Credit Cards! so when shopping for a spending card be sure to examine all your options.

Prepaid debit cards and prepaid credit cards can help you control your spending. A reloadable debit card allows you to only spend up to the amount you have pre-deposited into the account. If you tend to overspend or would like to control your spending then a pre-paid debit card or prepaid credit card could be a good card for you.

I dunno, amex is still the best way to go if you have the credit history to make it possible.

As I've understood it Credit Cards are charged now and paid later (usually a month) while a Debit Card is just like an atm card where you have some available funds in it that you may use for shopping, thus charged and debited from your account at the same time. Using credit card is more risky than debit card usage.

Prepaid Credit card can be used as an economical and more safer option as its a prepaid tool with specified upper limits. In India Yes Bank, in association with Corporation Bank, recently launched India's first ever pre-paid travel Debit card to provide a good option to traveler checques and cash. But one cannot use a debit card for online transactions since one needs to key in a pin number.
