I read in the "Top Ten Things to Know About PayPal" that sending money to friends and family is fast and free. But I just sent $10 to my friend and they charge me $0.10. Why? Did they think that my friend is not my friend?
I do not know why they would charge you for sending money. They do not charge fees to send funds. I would assume it has something to do with the country you live in. Are you out of the US?
Yes I live outside the US. Actually they let me choose if I or the recipient would pay the fee. To make my friend and myself comfortable, I choose to pay it myself.
Yes they do charge and considering the amount/fee I think that is pretty small compared to others like western union or direct bank deposit. Also, if you are a company sending it is pretty small compared to a personal account.
^you made me laugh, how do you think they would be able to send money bank to bank if they won't charge you?how about the maintenance of the site, of the people running the system. I think it is just fair to charge a small amount.
