Have you ever had to file a claim with paypal?

I just found out that I paid a site using my paypal and the site is a scam. I thought that I would report this to my credit card as fraud, but they said to report it to paypal first. Does anyone have experience filing a claim with paypal? Did it get resolved quickly?
